FAQ
Which microphone should I choose for the performance?
It's worth looking at the basic differences of the models:
Condenser microphones are more sensitive and transmit sound cleaner, bringing the sound quality closer to the studio.
MD-305, not so sensitive, but more resistant to ambient noise, and thanks to the frequency response optimized for vocals, it does not require equalization.
The frequency response of the MK-207 is uniform, which allows you to expand the scope of its application as a universal, instrumental microphone, but in order to turn around "to the full" it will need additional equalization.
Can I use Oktava vocal microphones to record musical instruments?
Yes, thanks to the uniform frequency response, the MK-207 Oktava is suitable for recording almost any musical instruments.
What equipment is recommended for use with MK-207
Audio interface or mixing console with XLR-3 connector.
The presence of 48 V phantom power is not required.
Is there a product warranty?
The warranty period for the microphone is two years.
In the event of a breakdown, your microphone will be put in order on the factory equipment by specialists who participated in its assembly.
What is the service life of the microphone?
The average service life of the microphone is at least ten years.
Probably, after this period, your microphone will need to replace the foam inserts.
Where are Oktava microphones manufactured?
Oktava microphones are created in the center of the artisan capital of Russia - in Tula.
The full production cycle from development to assembly takes place at the Oktava plant.
Can I get a microphone for a test drive to my studio?
Yes. Write to us in the chat specifying the contact email, address and name of the studio.
How can I avoid feedback when using a microphone?
Point the speakers away from the microphone.
The microphone should be kept at a uniformly close distance to the sound source,
in this case the sound engineer will not have to increase the gain to maintain the signal level.
How to connect the microphone?
1. Turn off the phantom power.
2. Connect the microphone to the mixing console or audio interface with an XLR-3 microphone cable
3. Turn on the phantom power.
It is not recommended to connect and disconnect the microphone when it is turned on.
